Richmond’s long-standing partner, Hostplus, has renewed its commitment to the Club for a further year.

The Tigers and Hostplus joined forces in 2005 and the latest one-year deal will extend the partnership until at least the end of 2018.

Hostplus, which is a leading provider of superannuation and related financial services for the hospitality, tourism, recreation and sporting industries, will be the Club’s Coaches Partner for a fourth consecutive season.

“We value our long-standing relationship with Hostplus, and we’re delighted they will continue to support our coaching group and Club going forward,” Richmond CEO Brendon Gale said.

Extending beyond the Coaches Partner, Richmond is also working with Hostplus on a number of initiatives outside of football, including supporting the development of their first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).

Richmond is one of only 14 Australian businesses, and the sole sporting organisation, with an Elevate status RAP.

The Club is committed to demonstrating leadership, innovation and driving initiatives that support reconciliation.

“We’re really proud to be able to offer meaningful support to Hostplus with the development of their Reconciliation Action Plan, which also demonstrates shared community values between the two organisations,” Gale said.

“It’s rewarding to evolve our partnership beyond football, and work with Hostplus to create positive community outcomes.”

In 2011, Hostplus also worked with the Tigers to develop “Health Wealth,” an innovative program designed for Hostplus members to kick-start their health and well-being, in order to live a healthier life.

Hostplus CEO David Elia said he was delighted to continue the partnership with the Tigers.  

“Our long term association with the Club is a key one which enables us to build awareness with our target market,” Elia said.

“Importantly, this partnership gives us the opportunity to educate club and team members about the importance of focusing on their super from an early age.
