Richmond’s first pick in the 2016 National Draft, exciting WA small forward Shai Bolton, has been allocated the No. 29 guernsey made so famous at Tigerland by Club ‘Immortal’ Kevin Bartlett.
‘KB’, or ‘Hungry’, as he’s affectionately known, wore the No. 29 throughout a magnificent 403-game career with the Tigers, including five premierships.
He was selected as first rover in Richmond’s Team of the Century, won five Jack Dyer Medals, and is regarded as one of league football’s all-time greats.
It’s a huge honor for Bolton, who has displayed some truly exciting small-forward traits so far in his football journey, at under-18 level for WA, and with WAFL club South Fremantle (colts and reserve-grade level).
The Tigers’ second pick in the 2016 National Draft, tough, SA inside midfielder Jack Graham will wear the No. 34 guernsey, third pick, tall Murray Bushrangers defender Ryan Garthwaite, takes the No. 42, while rookie draft selection, talented SA small forward Tyson Stengle, has been handed No. 44.
