Richmond has a new compression partner, with 2XU joining the Club for the next three years.

The partnership will see players train, perform and recover in the world’s No.1 sports compression from next season, with Club members also set to benefit via access to exclusive discounts and offers to shop the world-leading 2XU range.

Founded in Australia in 2005, 2XU is the global leader in sports compression and high-performance sports apparel. 2XU compression is independently proven by the Australian Institute of Sport and other world-leading research teams to deliver physiological benefits including 5% increased power, 18% increased blood flow, 19% reduced muscle movement and 47% reduced muscle soreness.

Richmond CEO Brendon Gale welcomed the announcement.

“We are delighted to be involved with a world class organisation like 2XU,” Gale said.

“2XU performance and recovery compression garments are renowned as the best in the business and our Club looks forward to working with them over the next three years.”

2XU compression is designed and tested in consultation with sports scientists and industry experts to help athletes of all abilities train, perform and recover at their peak. Available in more than 40 countries worldwide, 2XU is the sportswear brand of choice for the world’s best athletes, sports teams and organisations.

2XU co-founder and Director of Product Development Jamie Hunt said the partnership was the ideal fit.
